I’ve been in your shoes. After an injury in high school left me in chronic pain for two years, I was in the same place you might be in now: exhausted, frustrated, and defeated, stuck in a cycle I couldn’t escape. 


But during an empowering recovery process after two surgeries, I discovered what my body was really capable of. I learned that I could take control of my health and wellness.

It's Time To make your goal a reality

Do I have to go to the gym?

No – all fitness programming is designed to fit into YOUR schedule and YOUR preferences which means that home workouts, light home equipment or gym options are available.

What if I have never worked out before?

No problem! I program all fitness work to begin with the basics so you can build up strength and technique with good form to prevent injury and progress at a speed that is appropriate for you and your goals.

I already train regularly but need some nutrition help – can I get coaching for only nutrition?

Yes! I have several coaching packages including nutrition-only and fitness-only packages so you can customize the kind of coaching you need to match your goals. 

Am I able to purchase coaching for a family member or friend?

Let’s chat! Coaching can be an incredibly thoughtful gift for family members, partners, or friends. One of the key items needed for success is an individual’s desire to be coached, therefore coaching can make a great gift for those who are already eager to pursue it. It usually is not the best surprise gift, so I always chat with someone before purchasing to assess if coaching is the best gift idea for their recipient.

Do I have to track all my food the whole time?

My coaching methods involve the flexible dieting approach. Tracking food is a part of that approach for a period of time. I do encourage my clients to try tracking for a period of time, but it is not the exclusive method I use. I always work with each client to determine which food tracking strategy will work best for them and their goals.

What does your approach to personal fitness look like? 

I created Poelhuis Performance Coaching to help you think like an athlete and focuses on performance in four different areas:

  • Mindset

Your mindset determines your success. Consistency is key to helping you reach any goal, whether you want to lose weight, build strength or muscle, or develop lifelong healthy habits, and you can make small changes over time to achieve those goals. Mindset is the foundation that allows you to build those consistent habits. And mindset must be developed like any other muscle.

 

  • Training

Every body is different, and you deserve to find a training style that motivates you, excites you, and helps you get results. I specialize in bodyweight strength and functional training to help individuals feel strong, capable, and confident in a body they love. 

 

  • Nutrition

You are what you eat! Nutrition is the driving force behind any fitness goals, which is why we create a nutrition program that’s tailored to your training, preferences, and lifestyle while being balanced in macronutrients to support your body as you pursue your goals. 

 

  • Recovery

Recovery is the most underrated aspect of health and fitness. In a fast-paced world full of stress, rest and relaxation is essential to calming the mind and preparing the body for peak performance. Finding the right balance is key, and will be a prominent feature of your training program.

Do you do in-person training? 

Currently, I only offer online personal training services.

What if I don’t see results? 

I guarantee results – after all, this should be the last fitness plan you ever need! If you’re putting in the work but not seeing the results you want, I offer a money-back guarantee agreement, provided you complete all required steps as outlined in your contract.
